Remember the classic 1980's TV show Minder about a dodgy second-hand car dealer called Arthur Daley and his sidekick Terry "Minder" well 2 cars that starred in the show have just been sold for record amounts at auction.

Arthur Daley’s motor - a 1981 Daimler Sovereign — made famous on the show went for £32,000 at the sale at the Imperial War Museum in Duxford.
But the two-litre Ford Capri driven by Arthur’s sidekick Terry McCann did even better when it fetched £52,000.The Daimler Sovereign, with just 43,990 miles on the clock, has recently been refurbished.

In the mid-1990s, actor George Cole , who made Arthur Daley a household name, even tried to buy the car before it was given away in a TV Times competition.The Capri, featured during the opening sequences of the series driven by actor Dennis Waterman who played Terry.
